I have been training with CrossFit for 3 years. Prior to that, I have always worked out in different gyms and played many sports to include softball, volleyball, and soccer. I even played flag football one year as the only girl in the league.
What brought you to Panhandle CrossFit?
I needed a competitive and community aspect to my workouts that the “normal” gyms did not offer. Two friends from work had started a few months prior and finally talked me into giving it a try. Although it was very intimidating, I am glad they influenced me to give it a try because once I walked in the door, I knew that was the place I had been looking for!
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Since 2013, although I wish I had started sooner!!
What is your favorite WOD?
My favorite weightlifting movement is definitely the Clean and my favorite WOD would have to be “Karen” I love wall balls.
Do you have any advice for someone thinking about starting CrossFit?
Go out there and dominate WHATEVER you are doing! Don’t doubt yourself, because you will only prove yourself right.
