What is your Athletic Background?

  • I have been training with CrossFit for 3 years. Prior to that, I have always worked out in different gyms and played many sports to include softball, volleyball, and soccer. I even played flag football one year as the only girl in the league.

What brought you to Panhandle CrossFit?

  • I needed a competitive and community aspect to my workouts that the “normal” gyms did not offer. Two friends from work had started a few months prior and finally talked me into giving it a try. Although it was very intimidating, I am glad they influenced me to give it a try because once I walked in the door, I knew that was the place I had been looking for!

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

  • Since 2013, although I wish I had started sooner!!

What is your favorite WOD?

  • My favorite weightlifting movement is definitely the Clean and my favorite WOD would have to be “Karen” I love wall balls.

Do you have any advice for someone thinking about starting CrossFit?

  • Go out there and dominate WHATEVER you are doing! Don’t doubt yourself, because you will only prove yourself right.
